On December 2nd, 40 singing students (some straight out of their ballet exam that morning) turned up in Bromley to perform at the truning on of the Christmas Lights. We ahs practised very hard for this event and we were very confident of putting on a stunning performance. All rehearsals had run like clockwork and the singing was sounding fantastic. As we all got on stage, we noticed how wobbly it was and unfortunately it meant our performance wasn’t 100%. Regardless of the exceptionally difficult circumstances, all the students performed brilliantly and I was so proud of the way they took it all in their stride. I couldn’t have asked for anymore for anyone. Well done to everyone involved – you showed true professionalism.
Exams
Well done to all the exam candidates who have taken a Ballet, Tap or Modern exam this month. Both examiners commented on how well turned out every student was and what a pleasure it has been to examine at TAPA. I look forward to another set of fantastic results. Well done everyone.(I have a pic)
TAPA Christmas Party
Thank you to the PA who ran another very successful Chrsitmas Party. Our very special guest turned up on time to hand out a present to every boy and girl (thanks Santa) and there was a lot of dancing and jumping about taking place. Our youngest party goer (Harry at 17 months) thought it was fabulous (pic) and so did everyone else. It was very well organised and everyone had enough to eat and drink thanks to the PA. Thanks also to the older girls who came to help out and kept all the younger children safe and on their feet. (pic0
Cinderlla’s Got Talent
TAPA Theatre Company has excelled itself once again. Under the fabulous direction of Alyssa Kyria and Katy Day, TTC devised and wrote this very clever, very funny panto. If you missed it then you missed out. The cast were amazing and the performances that everyone gave were outstanding. The leap forward in all performers was noticeable and the audience were very receptive and complimentary throughout and afterwards too. It was lovely to get so much positive feedback from parents especially about how involved everyone was and that’s down to the superb direction of Alyssa. The PA did a fantastic job providing mulled wine and snacks to the audience and (with the help of some wonderful siblings and students) selling lots of tickets for the excellent raffle. The whole night was a huge success made possible by everyone reallt entering iunto the spirit of it and helping when needed.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
