Meet Our Team

Nicki Temple
Nicki TemplePrincipal

Nicki Temple has been dancing since 2 and and half.

Moving from her home in Wales to Manchester when she was four, her parents took her to dance classes in ballet and tap. Her real love was ballet and deeming tap to be “too noisy”, she wanted to stop. Fortunately motherly wisdom kept her attending classes and she was asked to train at one the Royal Academy of Dance schools in Didsbury to further her training.

When Nicki’s family moved to Orpington, she began to attend classes at The Snowdon Dance Studio’s in Bromley and there she realised that a career in the dance world is what she wanted.

After studying for and taking her dance A level in a year, Nicki gained a place at the prestigious London College of Dance and Drama where she would train to become a performer and teacher.

Leaving college with ISTD Associate Diploma in teaching, Nicki taught at various schools in the area before taking over the dance school she attended as a child.

Since then Nicki has become a Licentiate in Tap and continues to love her work nurturing young people in their love of dance and the theatre arts.

With a passion for writing and singing, Nicki is committed to producing fantastic performing opportunities for students at TAPA and is always keen to try something new.
